UHIP covers basic medical costs such as doctor’s visits, emergencies, lab tests, etc. Please note that some exceptions apply. For example, doctor’s notes and forms are not covered under UHIP and are an out-of-pocket cost. If you are unsure of your coverage, contact UHIP directly or the UHIP office at your university.
Patients who want to use their UHIP will need to send a copy of their UHIP Member ID card to our patient care team at operations@virtualhealthclinic.com. If the UHIP Member ID card is expired or does not qualify for coverage, the patient will have to pay $50 CDN (including applicable taxes) for their general virtual consultation.
